The Future Leader Award programme is designed to teach children the essential qualities needed to develop leadership skills. As adults, we often expect children to lead without fully exploring the specific skills and qualities they need to succeed. We believe that leadership is a skill that can be nurtured—leaders are made, not born. Drawing on extensive research and in collaboration with organisations like the Center for Creative Leadership, which has been studying leadership for over 60 years, we've developed a programme that allows children to learn and practice individual leadership qualities through engaging and fun activities. By the end of the programme, children gain valuable insights on how to be effective leaders and can apply what they've learnt both in school and in life.
Not all children will be leaders or want to be leaders, however all children can learn from the Future Leader Award. The traits we have researched and identified such as integrity or learning through failure, will stand any individual in good stead.
90% of buisness leaders believe leadership training should be part of every child's education. (2015 Center of Creative Leadership white paper)
Gaining the award will support children with future leadership roles such as house captains or being voted class councillor.
Leadership skills prime children for the future world of further study and work.
Displaying leadership skills installs confidence and helps children solve problems creatively and work collaboratively with each other.
As technology and screens dominate our lives there is an even greater need for children to develop face to face communication skills.
