Junior Future Leader Award
This award is aimed at upper Key Stage 2
(Children aged 9 – 11 years old)
Each session focuses on a specific leadership quality. Through engaging and fun activities children will gain explicit knowledge of each trait and be given tips and advice on how to utilise the skills learnt in school and life. After each session the Future Leader will be given a challenging, fun takeaway task that they will have to complete before the next session. After completing the seven lessons, the children will participate in an entrepreneurial project, providing them with an opportunity to apply and practice the leadership skills they have learned.
The leadership sessions cover the following:
- Integrity and self awareness
- Failure and resilience
- Empathy and team building
- The importance of active listening
- Decision making
- Creativity and risk taking
- Time management
- The Future Leader Entrepreneurial Project
